Rosemary 'Roman Beauty': Salvia rosmarinus 'Roman Beauty'

Roman Beauty has typical rosemary foliage with sturdy dark green foliage and particularly attractive dark blue flowers in spring. These flowers are much appreciated by insects, as there are not many blooms about this early in the season.

It is a compact rosemary, growing to a maximum of 50cm in height. The leaves are closely spaced and the stems give a tidy, tight habit and are slightly arching.

Grow in a well drained sunny position, where it will be hardy in much of the UK, apart from northerly locations and at exposed altitude.

This cultivar is perfect for containers, borders and low informal hedging, especially beside paths and near the house. Perfect for adding a Mediterranean touch to your garden.

The fragrant foliage is a popular culinary herbs, used to flavour roasts, meats and vegetables. Try it added to syrups and cocktails, bread and cakes, and as a herbal tea.
